CTSN trials have focused on significant clinical questions that lack rigorous evidence to support clinical decision making. The Network remains committed to addressing important clinical questions with high public health impact and to enhancing the systemic adoption of evidence-based research findings into routine real-world practice.

CTSN trials have involved partnerships with industry, including manufacturers of ablation devices, mesenchymal precursor cells, embolic protection devices, and an external scaffold for venous coronary grafts.

CTSN also has developed close relationships with professional societies, such as the American Association of Thoracic Surgery (AATS), Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) and ACC.
